Focusing on improving overall fluency and communicative ability, our General English program gives students the tools they need in today’s English-speaking world.

Our General English program consists of three courses: Active Grammar, Active Speaking, and Active Writing. Integrating modern technology with the most effective communicative methodologies, these three core courses will present students with an engaging, contextualized English language learning experience.

Specialized English

Providing our students with the English they need to succeed in the future, our specialized English programs offer students an opportunity to practice English related to their fields.

We offer a variety of specialized courses including: Business English, Hospitality English, Applied English for History, Arts and Culture, Applied English for Social Media, Legal English, Medical English, Presentation Skills, and Pronunciation and Listening as well as TOEFL/IELTS/TOEIC exam preparation and private tutoring.

Pathway Program

CES offers pathway programs for students interested in pursuing post-secondary studies at one of our many partner Canadian and international colleges and universities.

Entrance to one of our partner colleges requires the successful completion of the General English Upper-Intermediate levels. For students looking for further academic English preparation prior to entering a post-secondary institution, we recommend one of our most popular courses, the College-University Preparation Course (CUPC).

Junior ESL

CES offers summer and camp programs for students under the age of 18. This program focuses on providing younger learners with an immersive language and cultural experience.

Junior ESL

For their English studies, students focus on reading, writing and speaking skills during the first half of the day, then they have the opportunity to participate in unique and interesting activities such as visiting local tourist spots, watching sporting events, exploring local festivals and celebrations, and experiencing interactive seasonal activities.

Social Activities

CES provides many opportunities to experience the sights and sounds of Toronto. Check out some of our most popular activities!

Activity Leaders: Most of our activities are organized and run by our Activities Coordinator who also helps students with routine essentials for life in Toronto. In addition, aside from introducing real-world practice and exploratory lessons in their classes, teachers lead extra-curricular activities twice per month. Our student counsellors also join in on the fun and help students adapt to Toronto life.

With an abundance of great city attractions, stunning architecture, delightful restaurants, and vibrant nightlife, Toronto has a lot to offer visitors on any budget! There are also many exciting activities and experiences to be had for free.
